The short version
Highland Rim Equipment is a small, owner-run business. We collect what you type into a form so we can call you back about equipment. We don't sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. There is no tracking on this site.
What we collect
When you fill out a form, we keep what you put in it:
- Your name
- Your phone number, and your email if you give one
- Whatever you wrote in the message or equipment box
- Which page you sent it from
We also record your IP address and browser user-agent with the message. That's used for one thing: stopping automated spam. It isn't used to build a profile of you and it isn't shared.
If you sign up for the mailing list, we keep your email address and the date you signed up. Nothing else.
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks. We keep our own simple count of page views — which page, on what day — with no cookies and nothing that identifies you.
- No cookies for visitors. The only cookie this site sets is the one that keeps the owner signed into the admin panel.
- No selling or sharing your information with anybody, ever.
- No financing applications, so we never ask for and never hold a Social Security number, a credit application, or bank details through this website.
Where it's kept
This site runs on Cloudflare. Your message is stored in a Cloudflare database and a copy is forwarded to our business inbox so we see it quickly. Those providers host the data on our behalf; they don't get to use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
Messages stay in our system while they're useful — usually a couple of years, so we can look up who bought what and honor what we told somebody. Mailing list addresses stay until you ask to come off.
Getting your information removed
Ask and we'll delete it. Call or text (931) 547-9570 , or email info@highlandrimequipmentcompany.com. You don't need a reason and we won't argue about it. To come off the mailing list, reply to any message we send.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number and tick the consent box, you're agreeing that we can call or text you about equipment. That's a person texting from a real phone — not an automated marketing system. Tell us to stop and we'll stop.
Children
This site sells used machinery. It isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll change this page and update the date at the top.
